William M. Truex, 69, of Kewanna, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away at 7:48 PM, Saturday, October 4th, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka. On August 14, 1945, Bill was born in Chicago to William M. and Ruth L. Rook Truex. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters Juanita and Amelia. With great pride he graduated from Portage High School in 1963. Bill and Ruth Pace were married on January 21, 1966 in Portage. Together they shared over 48 years of life's adventures. He was the father of two beautiful daughters Theresa and Tina. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of three grandsons and two great grandchildren. As a maintenance mechanical specialist and electrician Bill, worked at Fulton Industries from 1979 - 1988, then worked a stint at Othy in Warsaw he concluded his work career at Tyson Foods in Logansport retiring in 2010. Bill is lovingly remembered by his wife: Ruth; two daughters: Theresa Hooper and husband Tom of Cambridge, OH; Tina Pare and husband Matt of Culver; three grandsons: Bryant Coburn, Ethan Jesuit, Dylan Eatmon; 2 great grandchildren: Mara Coburn, Carsyn Jesuit; mother : Ruth Truex; a sister: Juanita Oliver of LaPorte and his canine companion: Mollie a jet black, Scottish Terrier. Preceding Bill in death are his dad William in 1981, and sister Amelia Sims. Honoring Bill's wishes, his family plans a private celebration of his life at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.
