Wally E.
Pfeiffer
Dec 19, 1941 — Jun 21, 2026
Wally E. Pfeiffer, 84, of Rochester was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away in the early morning hours of June 21, 2026, at Hickory Creek of Rochester.
On December 19, 1941, in Plymouth, Wallace Eugene Pfeiffer was born. He was a treasured son of Donald and Donabelle Eizinger Pfeiffer. Growing up, he shared his childhood with a brother Mike and a sister Randy. His later years of childhood were spent in Newcastle Township; Wally proudly graduated from Talma High School with his class in 1960. As a member of the Tiger basketball team, with great offensive prowess he led the scoring in Fulton County.
On October 21, 1967, Wally married the love of his life Miss Terry Notz at St. John Lutheran Church in Rochester. They enjoyed 58 years of life's adventures. From their union, two beautiful daughters were born, Alison and Jody, and the family tree continued to grow to include the blessings of two wonderful grandchildren, Ashly and Grady.
During his formative years, Wally developed a strong work ethic while helping his Dad on the farm. He went on to work at Torin Corporation/Lau Industries for many years. A man with a passion for agriculture Wally was a lifelong farmer. Annually Wally planted a truck patch garden. His efforts yielded a bountiful harvest, and he shared the produce with family and friends. Terry also froze and canned much of it for winter use. Wally loved mowing with meticulous precision and planting flowers around the landscape to add a splash of color. For his exceptional effort, the Fulton County Garden club awarded him as "Gardener of the Month."
To relax Wally enjoyed Western movies, especially those featuring John Wayne. He was a BIG IU basketball fan and annually watched the Little League World Series. Catching up with the latest news with his morning coffee buddies at McDonalds, then Wendys allowed them a chance to solve the world's problems. His most cherished title is Grandpa. He enjoyed attending sporting events and school activities as the kid's biggest fans!!!!!
Left to cherish Wally's memory, are two daughters: Jody (Matt) McCall and Alison Pfeiffer; two grandchildren: Grady and Ashly McCall all of Rochester; sister, Randy (Reg) Hartman of Warsaw; a brother Mike (Maureen) Pfeiffer of Rochester; and nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death are his beloved wife Terry Pfeiffer on May 12, 2026, parents Don and Donabelle Pfeiffer and grandson, Austin Wyatt McCall.
