Virginia Ruth Davis, 94, of Rochester passed away at 5:15 AM on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw.

On December 31, 1926, Virginia was born near Akron to Chester and Louise DeLaughter Shriver.

Virginia and Donald Phillip Davis were married in Rochester on March 23, 1950. They shared 33 years of life's adventures.  Sadly, he passed away on July 15, 1983.

An accomplished seamstress, in 1999, Virginia retired after 50 years of service at Topps Industries.  Yoo Hoo candy bars were a favorite treat. Gifted with her hands, Virginia made many crocheted doilies to share with family and friends.  She looked forward to taking rides with her niece and nephew to the cemetery.  They always had a bag of carrots and apples on board to to feed the horses they visited on the way.

Left to cherish Virginia's memory are her niece, Brenda and husband Kelly Fields and their extended family; two sisters, Barbara Coppock of Indianapolis, Cheryl Shepherd and husband Fred of Rochester, two brothers, Milo Shriver of Akron, Jack Shriver and wife Norma of Silver Lake.Numerous neices and nephews also survive.

Preceding Virginia in death are her parents, husband, three sisters Mary Jane Kotterman, Beulah Engle, Lauretta Summers; six Shriver brothers, Melvin, Louis Eugene "Gene," Harry "Dale,"  Melvin "Pike" and John James.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Interment was in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
