Mrs. Sylvia J. Scholl, 94, of Rochester passed away on Tuesday, October 19 , 2021 at St Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.

On February 14 , 1927, Sylvia was born in rural Kosciusko County to Raleigh T. and Ina Mae Hoffer Sellers.  Growing up on the family farm, she shared her childhood with two brothers.  She graduated from Etna Green High School.

Sylvia and Wildon H. (Bill) Scholl were married on March 16 , 1946.  From their union came two wonderful sons, Dennis and Steven.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of two more generations.

She was independent, self-confident, hardworking and conservative - setting a good example for family to follow.  Sylvia so much enjoyed playing cards and games with friends and family, puzzling and reading, family travels, gatherings and events.  She was a member of the Eagles and VFW Auxiliary.

Left to cherish Sylvia's memory are her son Steven Scholl and wife Melinda of Noblesville; 2 grandsons: Eric Scholl and wife Andrea and Adam Scholl and wife Sarah and their 3 children; Jennifer Todd and her 2 children; and a brother, Lorain E. Sellers; several nieces and nephews; as well as many friends.

Sylvia was preceded in death by Wildon H. Scholl (1994), son Dennis R. Scholl (2021) & his life partner Laura Todd (2011), and brother Arnold N. Sellers.

A celebration of the life of Mrs. Sylvia J. Scholl will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 31 , 2021 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Mentone Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Fulton County Cancer Fund, thru the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, 217 East 9th Street, Rochester, IN  46975.
