Susan Anne "Boomer" Shepherd, 62, of Rochester, passed away at 7:06 PM on Friday, July 14 , 2017 at her residence.

On October 24 , 1954, Susan was born in Rochester to Herman and Hazel Nicodemus Bowman.

Susan and Lloyd S. Shepherd were married on February 19 , 1994. They shared 20 years of life's adventures. Sadly he passed away on April 8 , 2014.

Susan was a people person, she enjoyed the good times, socializing with friends and keeping up with events. Many will remember her as their favorite bartender in several clubs in Rochester, Akron and Kewanna. For several years, she also worked at Winamac Coil Spring. Often in her free time she would crochet afghans for family and friends. Auxiliary memberships include the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, all of Rochester

Susan is lovingly remembered by a daughter, Lisa Franklin of Fulton; three step-daughters: Stacy Heckathorn and husband JD of Rochester, Melissa Music of Rochester, Kiley White and husband Daryl of Indianapolis; two grandchildren: Damion C. Franklin and Brook M. Franklin; a brother, Allen Bowman and wife Debbie of Akron; and t wo nephews: Corey Bowman and Dr. Jason Bowman.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Scott Byers.

A celebration of the life of Susan A. Shepherd will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 18 , 2017 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Citizens Cemetery.
