Bertha "Sue" Tipton, 73, of Rochester passed away at 6:44 p.m. on April 3, 2013 at Life Care Center of Rochester. Born on September 1, 1939, Bertha Sue Graham was the precious daughter of Albert Sr. and Anna Robb Graham. Growing up she shared her childhood with a brother Albert. In 2006, Sue and Robert "Bob" Tipton were married. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2013. Sue was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of the Manitou V.F.W. Post 1343, The Eagles Lodge and the Leroy Shelton American Legion Post. She enjoyed the camaraderie, but especially loved to play bingo. She also traveled around the area and enjoyed bingo at other clubs. Another passion was shopping. Sue was a marathon shopper, always looking for a great sale or the perfect bargain. Sue is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Richard Newton and Ronald Brantley, both of Sharps Chapel, TN; 2 grandchildren, Amanda and Richard Jr. "R.J; her mother Anna Graham, and mother-in-law Audrey Jacks, both of Rochester. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceding Sue in death is her father, husband and a brother Albert Graham Jr. A celebration of the life of Mrs. Bertha "Sue" Tipton will be at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9th at the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester. The VFW Post #1343 Ladies Auxiliary will conduct the service. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
