Mr. Steven Marshall Reel, 59, of Akron, passed away at 10:16 PM, Saturday, August 8th, at Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. On December 6, 1955, Steve was born in Chicago Heights to Robert Wesley and Cleo Jeanette Baxter Reel. Steve was a mechanic supervisor for the transportation department of a public school system. He was a member of The Crown Point Fire Department, the Mizpah Shrine of South Bend and the First Christian Church of Rochester. To relax he enjoyed flower gardening and creating beautiful hanging baskets and flower boxes. Steve is survived by a sister, Virginia Paul and husband Forrest of Buford, GA; two brothers, Edward "Butch" Reel and wife Ann of Lancaster, CA and Tommy Reel of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Steve in death are his parents and a brother Bobby Reel. A memorial service for Steven Reel will be at 11:45 AM, on Sunday, August 30, 2015, after the Sunday School hour, in the First Christian Church, 1101 Madison St., Rochester with Pastor Mike VanHeyningen officiating.
