Mr. Steven J. Johnson, 57, of Rochester passed away 4:11 PM on Wednesday, July 7 , 2021 at his residence.

On March 28 , 1964, Steven Jay Johnson was born in Glendale, California to Eugene Ronald and Sharon Gist Johnson. Growing up he shared his childhood with a sister Deanne and two brothers, Howard and Rick. In 1982 Steve graduated from Rochester High School.

With a strong work ethic, Steve was employed by Lau Industries for 21 years.   To relax he enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting deer, squirrel and rabbits or fishing on the Tippecanoe River.  Steve was an avid lover of fast muscle cars and lifted trucks.  Gifted with his hands he was able to fix almost anything.

Left to cherish Steve's memory are his fiancé, Amy Hiers of Rochester; son, Cory Johnson and wife Chizuru of Tokyo, Japan; mother and step father Sharon and Jim Miller; two brothers: Howard Johnson and Rick Johnson; sister Deanne Stults and husband Matt, all of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Steve in death are his father, Eugene Johnson on August 8 , 2000 and his grandparents.

Private family services will be held.
