Mr. Steven "Stevie" Edward Duff, 49, of Rochester passed away at 7:02 PM on Tuesday, March 25th, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. On July 18, 1964, Stevie was born in Rochester to Steven "Duffy" R. and Donna Harper Duff. Growing up as the oldest of the Duff children, he shared his childhood with a sister Erin and 2 brothers, Keith and Shane. Stevie attended Caston Schools for a number of years but graduated with great Berry pride from Logansport High School in 1983. During his teen years, Stevie was active in 4-H. He enjoyed growing and arranging flowers and working on other projects to exhibit. He was also a member of the local Rural Youth Group, where he was introduced to his future soul mate. On July 1, 1989, Stevie married the love of his life, Kristine K. Lemler at the Bourbon United Methodist Church. They shared 23 years of life's adventures. Sadly she passed away on September 21, 2012. A friendly gentleman who never met a stranger, Stevie loved hanging out with his buddies, socializing at the coffee table while solving the world's problems. He was an avid collector of John Deere memorabilia and cheered wildly for the Boilermakers of Purdue. Boiler up! Stevie was a true animal lover. He especially treasured Captain, his canine companion, a brown and white Cocker Spaniel. Stevie is lovingly remembered by his parents, Donna Good and Steve Duff; sister, Erin Trusty and husband Mike; 2 brothers: Keith Duff and wife Tina and Shane Duff, all of Rochester; a best buddy who was like a brother, Harold Moore and companion Nellie of LaPorte; an aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins who also survive. Preceding Stevie in death was his wife and Captain, the Cocker Spaniel. Pastor Jim Toole will officiate services.
