Obituary

Singing Wind, 63, of Rochester, passed away at 4:00 AM, Saturday, December 30 , 2017 at her residence.
On August 31 , 1954, Dee Rose was born in Arkansas.  She was the daughter of  Charles Kenneth and Betty Harrison Rose and possessed Native American heritage.  Growing up she shared her childhood with 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
In historic, Tippecanoe County's  Battleground, on October 13 , 1984, Singing Wind married the love of her life  Philip J. Hart.  They shared 33 years of life's adventures.
Gifted in the realm of the arts, Singing Wind was accomplished with colored pencil creating portraits of people and head studies of animals such as the wolves.  Fiber was also a medium of expression, harvesting from the coats of her small herd of sheep and alpacas.   She also used plant fibers occasionally from cotton, milkweed and nettles.
Singing Wind's art studio boasted a spinning wheel and loom, necessary to create gifts of warmth for family and special friends.  She also expressed herself with calligraphy and stained glass.  Singing Wind was a member of the spinner's club.  She was astute as a weaver,  crocheting and knitting.
Intuitive with an innate ability to connect with others, Singing Wind could look into the eyes of friends to counsel and advise them on problem solving techniques for challenging times.  Her heart was bigger than life itself, she exhibited a radiance of love and positivity that touched all who she met.
