Mrs. Sherri Marie Adamson, 50, of Rochester passed away Monday, January 7th, 2013 at her residence. Sherri was born in Fulton county on June 4, 1962, to Calvin Lee and Evelyn VanDuyne Braman. As one of six children, she shared her childhood with three brothers and two sisters. She was a proud graduate of Rochester High School with her class in 1980. Later she attended Purdue University. On December 4, 1982, Sherri and Teri Lynn Adamson were married. Together they enjoyed raising two sons. The blessings of two grandsons were added to the family tree. Paramount in her life was her family, especially her grandsons. She enjoyed shopping for them all. A sports enthusiast, she cheered for the Cubs and Peyton Manning. Sherri looked forward to girl's nights out, a great dining experience and catching up with the latest. To relax she listened to country music and was an avid collector of John Deere memorabilia. Actively involved with her community, Sherri was a past leader ofthe Fulton County 4-H Woodrow Peppers during her earlier years, Fulton County Republican Women and the 1st Presbyterian Church, Rochester. She served the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation as treasurer. Her sons Derek (2004) and Clayton (2013) played on the Viking baseball team and Clay for the Viking tennis team. She enjoyed following their activities and cheering the teams on. Her love for Viking sports grew and Sherri could be seen from the sidelines of most of the lady and men's Viking athletic contests. Sherri is lovingly remembered by her husband Teri; 2 sons: Derek Adamson & wife Brittany of Tippecanoe, Clayton Adamson at home; 2 grandsons: Parker Lee Adamson, Brock Paul Adamson; mother: Evelyn Braman of Rochester; two sisters: Judy Taylor & husband Russ of Walkerton, Pat Rathbun & husband Cam of Warsaw; three brothers: Bill Braman & wife Georgina of FL, Phil Braman & wife Monica of MI, John Braman of Indianapolis; aunt Marjorie Phillips; Canine companions: Lilly a Beagle/Blue Healer mix and Sandy a Golden Retriever; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who also survive. Sherri was preceded in death by her father Calvin on May 21, 2004. Pastor Junior Bose will officiate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
