Mrs. Ruth Louise Truex, 95, formerly of Portage, Plymouth, LaPaz and Knox passed away at 3:30 PM, Saturday, October 25th, at Golden Living Center of LaPorte. She was born on October 20, 1919 in Cook County, IL Ruth and William M. Truex were married on July 26, 1926 in Marion. He passed away in 1981. Ruth was a homemaker and cherished the time caring for her family. She was a secretary for American Plastics of Chicago. When she moved to northern Indiana she assisted with the nutrition site in LaPaz. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose. She made many friends in the Plymouth and LaPaz area. Ruth is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Juanita Oliver, of LaPorte, daughter-in-law: Ruth Truex of Kewanna, 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Ruth in death are her parents, husband, daughter Amelia Simms in 2007, a son William "Bill" Truex on October 4, 2014, a sister Helen Allen, a granddaughter Andrea Stack on July 29, 2012, a grandson Jonny Oliver Jr. on August 20, 1997 and a great grandson Ronnie Wood Jr. on May 31, 2014. Dr. Mark Spencer will officiate services.
