Ruby Jackson, 92, of Rochester passed away at 4:13 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 at Hickory Creek of Rochester. Born on May 14, 1920 in Gibson County, Tennessee Ruby was the daughter of John B. Edmundson and Ethel Crawford Edmundson. Growing up she shared her childhood with a sister Ruth and 3 brothers, Wade, Paul and John B. Ruby married Robert E. Jackson in Rochester, on September 28, 1946. During their marriage they had two wonderful children, a son Ken, and a daughter Karen. The family continued to grow over the years with the added blessings of 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to being a loving mother and devoted wife, Ruby was a dedicated secretary to Rochester Farmer's Mutual Insurance Company until her retirement a number of years ago. She was a loyal member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, and played euchre in a variety of ladies clubs over the years. Ruby is lovingly remembered by her daughter Karen Callahan, Rochester; a son Ken Jackson and wife Pat Foley of Scottsdale, AZ; 7 grandchildren: Amy Callahan, Kristy Christopher & husband Noel, Tori Kincaid & husband Chad, Robbi Kinser, Matt Foley, Mary Foley, Alyssa Foley; 4 Great-Grandchildren: Sunshine Christopher, Mears Jackson Kincaid, Danny Ray Kinser, and William Kinser. Preceding her in death are her parents, beloved husband, Robert who passed on December 7, 1978, a son-in-law Michael Callahan, 1 sister Ruth Perry, and 3 brothers: Wade, Paul & John B. Edmundson. She will be laid to eternal rest in Rochester's IOOF Cemetery.
