Mr. Ronald L. Ulery, 73, of Rochester, passed away at 5:04 PM, Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his residence. On November 17, 1941, Ron was born in Twelve Mile to Richard and Rosella Bean Ulery. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters and four brothers. Ron was a member of the last class to graduate from Twelve Mile High School in 1961. Ron and Carolyn F. Weakman were married on October 5, 1963 in Cass County and shared 51 years of life's adventures. Their union produced two daughters and a son, later two more branches were added to the family tree with eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. As a tool and die machinist, Ron worker for Sealed Power. He also worked in maintenance at Argos Community Schools. "FORE" was often heard by Ron at the Mill Creek Golf Course, where until last month, he was manicuring the greens. An avid golfer, Ron enjoyed playing the eighteen holes. Playing a round of poker with friends was a lot of fun too. To relax, Ron read historical fiction and western novels by Louis L'Amour. Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife Carolyn; his mother Rosella Ulery of Twelve Mile; two daughters: Debora Chaney of Bellevue, NE, Brenda VanMeter and husband Dale "Tom" of Rochester; a son, Rod Ulery and wife Kisia of Rochester; eight grandchildren: Trishia, Joshua, Alyssa, Elizabeth, Tommy, Jade, Erin and Allison; four great grandchildren: Ryan, Aurora, Koda and Champ; a sister, Betty Evans of Logansport; four brothers: Donald Ulery of Twelve Mile, Larry "Jay" Ulery and wife Mary of Peru, Rich Ulery and wife Clara of Rochester, Robert "Bob" Ulery and wife Laura of Logansport; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Ron in death are his father and a sister, Shirley Ulery. Private services will be held for Ronald L. Ulery. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
