Obituary

Ron Guisinger, 92, of Rochester passed away at 4:45 AM on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

On June 21, 1932, Ronald Lee was born in Chicago to Wireman John and Margaret Elisabeth McFayden Guisinger.  After high school, he enlisted with Illinois National Guard and with great pride served our country.

After his first marriage and raising four children Ron and Mary Ann Kobylecky were married, and together they raised three children. She has preceded him in death.  Later in his life Ron moved to the Rochester Community to join his daughter Tammy and her family.

As a commercial electrician, Ron worked on the John Hancock Tower and Cook Nuclear Plant, among other projects. He was a proud member of the Chicago IBEW Local # 134.  Not living far from the Kankakee River, in Illinois Ron loved to fish.  He also went to secret locales around the area, wherever he could get his line wet. He always enjoyed catching the limit.  Gifted with his hands he was into wood carving.  Ron was a member of  Converse Carving Club and helped launch the Rochester Carving Club.

Left to cherish  Ron's memory are a son, Jim Guisinger and wife Sherry of Mokena, IL; four daughters: Tammy Schlarf and husband Eric of Rochester, Sherry Perkowitz of Round Lake Beach, IL, Debbie Jones and wife Linda Norton of Spring Grove, IL, Amy Dormann and husband John of Crestwood, IL; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his canine companion, Muggsy a tan Shih Tzu "special blend."

Preceding Ron in death are his parents, wife, and two daughters, Margaret and Nancy.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date in Illinois.
