Robert Smith, 94, of Rochester passed away at 3:21 AM on December 18, 2025 at Wynnfield Crossing of Rochester.

On October 21, 1931, Robert Lee was born in Holt County, Michigan to Ralph G. and Eva Irene Starner Smith. Proudly he graduated with the Class of 1949 from Rochester High School. Answering the call of patriotism, Robert served with the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1954.

Robert and Juneva I. "June" Sheller were married on September 30, 1954 in Fort Worth, TX. They shared 47 years of life's adventures. Sadly, she passed away on October 7, 2001.

Robert worked at the Rochester Sentinel as advertising manager, then later at Wilson Foods of Logansport.  He was also a member of the Rochester Masonic Lodge.

Left to cherish the memories of Robert are son, Robert L. Smith Jr (Anita) of Parrish, FL, four grandchildren, Damian, Ft. Worth, TX. Martin, Charlotte, NC. Anthony (Caitlyn) Phoenix AZ, and Laryssa (Dennis) York, SC; two great grand children, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Robert in death were his wife, parents , three sisters, Norma J. Smith, Betty Shortz, Mary L. Keele and brother Jerry D. Smith.

A celebration of the life of Robert Lee Smith will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the Athens~Hoover Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10-10:30 on Tuesday in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street.. Pastor Brian Sewell will officiate. Military honors will be conducted the Fulton County Veteran's Honor Guard and the US Air Force Honors Team.
