Mr. Robert Walter "Pops" Jordan, 60, of Rochester, passed away at 8:08 AM, Thursday, May 24th, 2012 at IU Methodist of Indianapolis. He was born in South Bend on July 14, 1951, to Walter and Betty Laymon Jordan. In 1969 he graduated from Mishawaka High School. Robert was a union electrician, and a member of IBEW #153 of South Bend. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association. Robert is survived by a daughter, Jessica Jordan & companion Lucas Conner of Rochester; a son Justin Jordan & companion Tammy Stockton of Chicago; a grandson Dane Jordan; 3 sisters: Sandy Asherman & husband Bill of Osceola, Midge Jordan of Mishawaka, Shannon Butts & husband Jason of Elkhart; 4 brothers: Doug Jordan & wife Kathy of South Bend, Chris Jordan & wife Judy of Wakarusa, Shawn Jordan & wife Veronica of Elkhart, David Tavernier & wife Amy of Bloomington; a sister-in-law Laura Tavernier of South Bend; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Paul Tavernier Jr.
