Mr. Robert W. Evans, 89, of Rochester passed away at 6:40 AM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Hickory Creek of Rochester.

With a strong work ethic, Bob worked for the McMahan-O'Connor Construction Company, primarily in the shop, retiring in 1993.   He was a member of the Richland Center IOOF Lodge for over 60 years.  Accomplished at the bowling allies, Bob was an avid bowler.

Robert is lovingly remembered by  his special friend, Regina Roberts of Nappanee; four brothers:  Gerald C. Evans and wife Juanita of Columbia City, Larry W. Evans of Rochester,  David L. Evans of Florida, Mick Evans and wife Judy of Rochester,  sister-in-law Roberta Evans of Rochester;  and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Robert in death are his parents, wife, two daughters:  Christina J. Swango and Sherry L. Rogers; brother, Gene Evans; two sisters-in-law: Carolyn Joan Evans and Joanie Evans.

A public graveside service for Robert W. Evans will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 19 , 2017 at the Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Pastor Mike VanHeyningen will officiate.
