Obituary

Mr.  Bobby  Cooper, 37, of Kewanna, passed away at 4:17 PM, Wednesday, August 2 , 2017 in Fulton County, due to injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident.

On September 18 , 1979, Robert G. "Bobby" Cooper  was born in Hammond.  He was the cherished son of  Robert and Jean Bennett Cooper.  Growing up in the Hammond area and  he graduated in 1998 from Hammond Gavit High School.

An avid American sportsman, Bobby looked forward to the annual family trip in May to the pristine lakes of Minnesota.  It was here they made many memories, told stories and fished for the limit of blue gill, bass, crappie and great northern.  He enjoyed sitting on the dock or under a shade tree with his casting rod in hand.   With his extraordinary sense of humor, Bobby brought much laughter to the family with cracking jokes and having fun.  He was a devoted fan of the Chicago Black Hawks and was the proud owner of a unique collection of Black Hawk memorabilia including the  coveted jersey  of number 19,  center and Captain Jonathan Toews.

At home in his kitchen command post, Bobby was a gifted chef.  He would modify and create customized recipes for his family to sample. Lasagna and casseroles  were among his dishes most in demand.   For dessert, Bobby enjoyed  mini- banana split blizzards.

With a helping heart, Bobby was ready to assist anyone in need.  He helped out  his Dad, affectionately known as  "George" with  the chores with their red leg chickens.  Bobby and his mother looked forward to the weekends and attending garage and yard sales in search of treasures and bargains of the day.   Bobby was a true friend to his pets Lightening, George and Puss Puss.

The next project that Bobby and his  Dad had plans for was building a  track to race remote control cars on at their home.

Bobby will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Robert and Jean Cooper of Kewanna; a special cousin Gary Diehl,  that shared many adventures growing up;  Lightening, his treeing Walker coonhound; and his two black domestic short haired felines, George and Puss Puss.
