Obituary

Mr. Robert Austin Eiler Sr., 79, of Rochester, passed away at 4:58 PM, Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne. On July 5, 1935, Bob was delivered by his proud father in Kewanna. His parents are the late Paul Austin and Nina J. Sutton Eiler. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters. With great pride he graduated from Rochester High School with the Class of 1953 and later attended Purdue University to study agriculture. As a press operator, Bob worked in the multi -colored printing area of R.R. Donnelley of Warsaw. While living in Alexandria, he was a member of the Mt. Olive Community Church of Muncie. After moving back to Rochester he was a member of the Church of God. Bob and Kay Marie Hunter Alber were married on December 12, 1992 in Warsaw. They shared 22 years of life's adventures. They looked forward to their annual trip to Pigeon Forge, TN. From 1998 - 2014, they owned and operated B n K Enterprises that included boarding stables and a rescue for horses. Pleasure riding was enjoyed by both Bob and Kay. Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kay; 6 children: Robert A. Eiler and wife Mary of Rochester, Rodney A. Eiler and wife Sherri of Gaston, Kathy K. Pressel and husband Roderick of Anderson, Mark E. Alber and wife Shelly of Warsaw, Traci Alber and fiancé Tommy Shepherd of Mentone, Paul W. Alber and wife Holly of Rochester; grandchildren: Sarah, Austin and Andrew Eiler, Jacob Eiler, Suzanne Pressel, Zach, Hannah and Jordan Alber, Cora, Brandt and Dalton Alber, Brody, Riley and Francis Alber, and Travis Keesling; two sisters: Leta Hallett and Elsie Fuller and husband John all of Alexandria; three sister-in-laws: Lynda McCloughan and husband Ted of Athens, Wanda Wilhelm and husband Richard of Macy, Patsy Rowe of Monticello; a brother-in-law Larry Hunter and wife Jean Ann of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews; and Bella "Bratzilla", a feline domestic short hair tiger cat; Tiki, a 11 pound black and white Toy Rat Terrier; and Miss Fern, a reddish tan Chihuahua. Preceding Bob in death are his parents, his first wife Jaqcueline S. Johnson Eiler, son Nathan W. Alber and brother-in-law Nelson Dean Hunter. Pastor John Phillips will officate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
