Mr. Raymond W. Boardman, 75, of Rochester passed away on Wednesday, November 18 , 2015 at his residence. On June 20 , 1940, Ray was born in Aurora, IL to George and Ellen Woolley Boardman. He was the oldest of four children sharing his childhood with a sister and two brothers. In 1958, he graduated from Buffalo High School of Buffalo, Indiana. Ray moved to the Rochester community in 1998, from Goshen.

John Deere green was Ray's favorite color. His hobbies included collecting toy farm tractors, watching NASCAR, the world news and weather. Farming with his G John Deere or driving his Cab over Peterbuilt was his way of life. While out on the road, he often reported back to his family the status of the crops throughout the US.

Ray also loved the Red, White and Blue. Supporting our troops and veterans was very near and dear to his heart. He was a true American.

Ray is lovingly survived by his daughter: Clara Boardman of South Bend; two sons: Raymond C. Boardman and wife Ellen of Rochester and Allen Boardman of Altoona, PA; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister: Ruth Buis and husband Dick of Indianapolis; two brothers: Frank Boardman and wife Marilyn of Winamac, Royce Boardman and wife Connie of Buffalo and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Ray in death are his parents and an infant daughter Rogina Boardman.

Ray is lovingly survived by his daughter, Clara Boardman of South Bend; two sons: Raymond C. Boardman and wife Ellen of Rochester and Allen Boardman of Altoona, PA; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Buis and husband Dick of Indianapolis; two brothers: Frank Boardman and wife Marilyn of Winamac, Royce Boardman and wife Connie of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.
