Obituary

Mr. Randy L. McKenzie, 51, of Rochester passed away at 6:10 AM on Friday, December 18 , 2015 at his residence.

On June 7 , 1964, in  Jacksonville, Arkansas,  Raymond Lewis "Randy" McKenzie was born.  He was  a treasured son of Robert F. and Linda Goforth McKenzie.  Growing up he shared his childhood with a brother Timothy and a sister Renae.  Randy spent his youth in Cabot, graduating as a proud Cabot High School panther.
Following high school patriotism beckoned, Randy answered the call serving with the United States Marine Corps.  With great pride, Staff Sgt. McKenzie initiated his service on December 13 , 1983 and was honorably discharged on March 1 , 1995.   McKenzie was a helicopter mechanic during Desert Storm - Desert Shield.  His decorations included the Good Conduct Medal,  Armed Forces Expedition Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation  (USS Okinawa), Meritorious Mast, National Defense Medal.  He was also the recipient of the Southwest Asia Service Medal with two stars, and Kuwait Liberation.
Randy was a loyal employee of B & G Conversion in Argos for the past five years.  He was a member of the Leroy Shelton  American Legion Post # 36 and served our Manitou VFW # 1343 as Commander. To relax he enjoyed watching NASCAR  racing always cheering for Dale Earnhardt Jr.  He also watched westerns, war movies, Fast N' Loud and Pawn Stars.

Left to cherish Randy's memory are his companion Tina Hill  Doubet of Rochester; Tina's children: Darlene Doubet of Oil City, PA, Ethan Doubet, Houston, TX, Rebecca Doubet of Evansville; parents Robert and Linda McKenzie of Cabot Arkansas; a sister, Renae McKenzie of North Little Rock, Arkansas; a brother, Timothy McKenzie and wife Sherrie of Cabot, Arkansas; several nieces; numerous cousins; and his cherished canine companions Libby and Lucky, special custom blends.
