Due to the inclement weather, services for Phyllis Reed will be on Friday, January 10. Friends may visit from 2:30-3:15 at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester. A graveside service will be at 3:30 at the Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Mrs. Phyllis Jean Reed, 77, of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away on January 3rd, 2014, at her home. On February 8, 1936, Phyllis Jean Cochran was born, a precious daughter of Andrew and Lavina Henderson Cochran. As one of eleven children, Phyllis was the youngest. She shared her childhood with five sisters and four brothers. Phyllis was a proud graduate of Rochester High School. She later went on to study health care. Phyllis worked at the Rochester Nursing Home and later Hickory Creek as a nurses aide. On September 24, 1960, Phyllis and Russell "Russ" Wayne Reed were married in Rochester. Sadly, Russ preceded her in death on July 3, 1968, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. From their union came two children, Susan and Steve. Phyllis is lovingly remembered by a daughter Susan Baker and husband Rick; a son Steve Reed; a grandson Kevin Baker, all of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Phyllis in death are her parents; husband; 5 sisters: Margaret, Mary, Mildred "Mitzi"; her twin sister Doris; Rachel June at age 3; five brothers: Francis, Chuck, Ernie, Don and infant Lawrence Everett Cochran. Chaplain Jason See will officiate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
