Dan "Pete" Geller, 83, of Culver passed away at 4:23 PM on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at his residence.

On September 24, 1938, Daniel Leonard was born in Gary to Leroy and Reba Barnett Geller. Growing up he was the oldest of seven.  Answering the call of patriotism, Pete joined the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1957.

Pete and Norma Bales were married in 1955. Later Pete and Joan Jansen married and she preceded him in death.

Pete worked as a mechanic for 28 years. He also delivered LP gas for Larry Peters.  As an avid fisherman, Pete would cast a line at his favorite lakes and rivers in Fulton and Marshall counties. Hunting deer was also a favorite pastime. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Knox.

Left to cherish the memories of Pete are five children:  Kathy Moore and husband Rick of Ligonier, Helen Loggins of Anna, OH, Robert Eugene Geller and wife Consuela of Kimmell, Danny Howard Geller of Ligonier, Twyilla Costly of Portage; daughter-in-law, Paula Baldner of Gary; 28 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; three siblings: Nancy Dell of Rochester, Bill Geller and wife Laurie of Knox, Reba Derryberry of Akron; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Pete in death are his parents, Leroy Geller and Bernard and  Reba Geller Honkomp;  infant daughter, Conney Geller; two sons: Chris Baldner, Ray Baldner; sister, Linda Haeck; two brothers: Richard Geller, George Geller; son-in-law Alan Loggins; and brother-in-law Dennis Derryberry.

A celebration of the life of Daniel L. "Pete" Geller will be at 6 PM on Friday, July 8, 2022 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18 ^th St., Rochester. Mr. John Snider will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 3-6 PM on Friday in the funeral home.

Military honors will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard and the US Army Honors Team.
