Paul
Henriott
Aug 26, 1925 — Aug 16, 2016
Paul Devon Henriott, CWO2 US Army, (Ret.) 90, of Rochester, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away at 5:39 AM,
Tuesday, August 16
, 2016 at his residence.
On
August 26
, 1925, Paul was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a treasured son of John and Edna Tabler Henriott. Growing up he shared his childhood with a brother Jim and a sister Catherine. With an early departure from high school, he left to serve his country during World War II. Paul's initial stint was with the US Navy for just over seven years from
January 5
, 1943 -
February 28
, 1950. He continued on for thirteen years with the US Army from
March 1
, 1950 -
February 28
, 1963.
Understanding the importance of a high school education, Paul earned his diploma from Rochester High School in 2003. He retired from Eaton Corporation after several years with the company.
In Frankfort, Germany, Paul married the love of his life, Gertrud Elsa Seifer, on
May 6
, 1955. They have shared 61 years of life's adventures. Paul and Gertrud moved their children Curt, Desiree, Romy and Bernadette, to Rochester from Ft. Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1964. Since that time the family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of two more generations.
Paul is a life member of the V.F.W. Post # 15015. He is also a member of the local Manitou Post # 1343. An avid self-taught computer buff, Paul embraced technology especially computers. He was inspired and intrigued with the information super-highway, world wide web, as he researched and discovered genealogy while searching generations back for members in his family tree.
