On June 13 , 1940, Patricia S. Partridge was born in Rochester to Harold and Opal M. Holloway Partridge. Growing up she shared her childhood with a sister, Bonnie. Proudly she graduated with the Class of 1958 from Rochester High School and was a life time Fulton County resident.

At the First Baptist Church, Pat and Philip Edward Thompson were married on May 1 , 1959. They have shared 63 years of life's adventures. Their union produced three handsome sons, Brent, Barry and Brad.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pat's memberships include The First Baptist Church, Eastern Star, former Rochester Jaycees and the Fulton County Park Board.

Many will remember Pat assisting Phil as a clerk for Thompson Auctions for many years. She also served as the 1 ^st Lady of Rochester during  Mayor Phil's four terms as the head of our city. Pat created delicious treats and tasty home cooked delicacies as she catered events. As a professional cake maker, the children, young and old, enjoyed eating her special cake cuts, creating white cake sandwiches drizzled with icing from the edges of the wedding cake.

The proud matriarch of the Thompson family, Grandma Pat was known for her collection of cookbooks and rolling pins. She cherished the time with her family, cooking and baking their special meals, for family celebrations, always made with lots of love.  Grandma Pat also loved grilling out and sitting around the campfire telling stories while making many memories.  Pat designed beautiful custom floral arrangements for Cobbler's Corner for a number of years.

Left to cherish Pat's memory are her husband, Phil; three sons: Brent Thompson and wife Tura of Palatka, Fl, Barry Thompson and wife Nikki of Rochester, Brad Thompson and wife Loraine of Rochester; six grandchildren: Mandi Copley and husband Ryan, Cody Thompson and companion Tierney, Chayse Thompson and wife Brittney, Travis Thompson, Jayci Martin and husband Erick, and Cahner Thompson and wife Adrienne; four great grandchildren:  Rhemi Shaye Thompson, Parker Thompson, Coden Thompson, Evie Rose Copley; and a sister, Bonnie Nickell and husband Cecil of Urbana, IL

Preceding Pat in death are her parents.

A celebration of the life of Mrs. Patricia S. "Pat" Thompson will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 25 , 2022 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18 ^th St., Rochester. Pastor Dr. Mark Spencer will officiate.  Friends may visit with the family from 10-12 on Wednesday in the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Fulton County Parks, PO Box 462, Rochester, IN 46975 .
