Mrs.  Patricia N. "Pat" Schaller, 80, of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she  peacefully passed away at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, April 3 , 2019 at her home.

On July 19 , 1938, Patricia Nadine Segvich was born in Chicago.   She was the treasured daughter of John and Mary Nadine Young Segvich.  In 1956 Pat graduated from Griffith Senior High School.

At  Our Lady of Grace in Highland, Pat married the love of her life Mr.  John F. Schaller on June 23 , 1962.  They have shared 56 years of life's adventures.  From their union came seven wonderful children Anne, Caroline, Eileen, John, Jacqueline, Jeffrey,  and Joseph.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of two more generations including 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pat was a devoted member of Rochester's St. Joseph Catholic Church for  over 50 years. She served her church as treasurer of the Altar and Rosary Society for three decades.  Pat worked at The Rochester Sentinel for 21 years a circulation manager retiring in 2001.  Following her retirement Pat  was a member of RSVP and enjoyed many activities at the senior center.  She especially loved playing bingo.

As the matriarch of the Schaller family, Grandma Pat was so very proud to  oversee four generations.  She and John faithfully attended sporting events and school activities of all of their legacy.  She looked forward to special family celebrations and the holidays making the best memories of their lifetime.

Left to cherish Pat's memory are  her husband John, are their seven children: Anne Schaller Curran and husband Kevin of Carmel, Caroline Schaller Utter of Rochester, Eileen Schaller Miller of Rochester, John Schaller and wife Ana of Carrollton, TX, Jacqueline Schaller Roth and husband Charles of Tinley Park, IL, Jeffrey Schaller and wife Renae of Fort Wayne, Joseph Schaller and wife Michelle of Carmel; 18 grandchildren: Michelle Curran, Megan Curran, Kelsey Eck and husband Matt, Ryan Utter, Austin Utter, Jodi McMillen and husband Jason,  Jamie Sutton and husband Lee,  Jarred Fairchild, Jackob Miller, Emma Schaller, John Matthew Schaller,  John Roth, Charles Ferdinand Roth, Jeffry Schaller, Maryssa, Schaller, Ashlyn Schaller, Brinn Schaller, Hanna Schaller; five great-grandchildren: Ella and Lumen McMillen, Alexandrea, Blake and Xander Sutton; half- sister, Nancy Bruce of Frankfort, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Pat in death are her parents and step father, John Klietz.

Father Michael McKinney will officiate.  Interment will be in the St. Ann's Cemetery of Kewanna.
