Former Rochester resident, Olive Beatrice "Bea" Eber, 98, passed away Tuesday, January 24th, at her daughter's home in Walton. Bea was born in Morgan, Minnesota, on February 25, 1913, to Arthur and Ruey Hanaway Cranmer. When she was six years old, Bea's family moved to the Rochester area in 1919. Growing up she shared her childhood with two brothers, Vernon and Kenneth. She was a proud 1931 graduate of Fulton High School. In February of 1938, Bea and Guy W. Anderson were married. Their union spanned just over four decades when he passed onto the next life in March of 1968. In July of 1975, Bea married John D. Eber. Their marriage of over 28 years ended when John preceded in February of 2004. Mrs. Eber was a member of Faith Outreach Center of Rochester, but had attended the Logansport Assembly of God, after moving to the Walton area with her daughter and son-in-law, in October of 2004. A dedicated employee of the Edmonton Manufacturing Company, Rochester for more than 25 years, Bea served as their accounts payable clerk. With a love for music, Bea was an accomplished pianist and organist. She enjoyed photography, sewing and reading books. To keep mentally sharp, Bea looked forward to the challenges of solving word search puzzles. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mary Jane Lockhart & husband Erle of Walton; 2 granddaughters: Jennifer Baldwin and husband Terry,and Laura Thomson and husband Bruce, all of Rochester; 2 step daughters: Sarah Gentry and Loretta Hayden; 8 step grandchildren; 1 great grandson: Milan Baldwin; and 3 great granddaughters: Madison Baldwin, Olivia Thomson and Emilee Thomson, all of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers: Vernon Cranmer and Kenneth Cranmer; and 2 stepsons: Guy N. Anderson and Phil Eber. Rev. Terry Baldwin will officiate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
