Mrs. Norma Rowe, 73, of Rochester, passed away at 3:24 AM, Monday, April 14th, at Life Care Center of Rochester. On May 25, 1940, Norma was born in Elkhorn City , KY to Alvin and Bessie Norman Ratliff. At age 18, on January 2, 1959 in Clintwood, VA, Norma married Mr. Tommy Rowe. Together they enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Their union produced 4 wonderful children: Sheila, Tomel, Patricia and Roger. Over the years the family tree flourished with the added blessings of 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Each spring Norma would plant flowers to add color around the landscape of her home. She had a fine eye for finding bargains at Goodwill. She also found the game show channel to be very entertaining. To keep herself mentally sharp Norma enjoyed the challenges of puzzle books Left to cherish Norma's memory are three daughters: Sheila Milam and husband Ira, Tomel Gentry and husband Darrell Burden all of Rochester, and Patricia Figueroa and friend Jamie Wolf Akron,; a son, Roger Rowe Jr. and wife Tamera of Port Orange, FL; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. Preceding Norma in death are her beloved husband Tommy on July 4, 2012, two sisters and four brothers. Pastor Thad Stewart will officiate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
