Mrs. Norma Braden, 73, of 1843 Sunset Lane Rochester, passed away, on Monday November 7th at Life Care Center of Rochester. Norma was born in Peru, on June 5, 1938, to John Chester and Mabel Bailey Young. Growing up as one of six children she shared her childhood with a sister Joan and 4 brothers Richard, Steve, Jim and Ronnie. On September 25, 1955 Norma married Paul J. Braden Jr. in Peru. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2006. Norma cherished the time with her children, grandkids and great grandkids. Playing bingo was a favorite pastime. She was a member of the ladies auxillaries for the Eagles, VFW, American Legion, and the Moose Lodge Family Center all of Rochester. Norma is lovingly remembered by her four daughters: Debra Bookmiller & husband Danny of Logansport, IN, Vicki Soopley of Logansport, Diane Braden of Nappanee, and Sandy Migues of Nappanee; a son,Rick Braden of Rochester; two brothers: Richard Nilson and Steve Olinger; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Joan Trapp and 2 brothers, Jim Young and Ronnie Young.
