Nathan Wade Alber, 41, of Pendleton, formerly of Rochester, passed away at 1:45 PM, Thursday, September 11th, 2014. On January 15, 1973, Nathan was born in Rochester to Mark and Kay Hunter Alber. As the youngest of the four Alber children, growing up he shared his childhood with a sister Traci, and two brothers, Mark and Paul. In May of 1991 he graduated with his class from Rochester High School. Living in Rochester most of his lifetime, Nathan moved to Pendleton in about 2009. He was an accomplished journeyman carpenter, working on many assignments around the Indianapolis metro area. He loved tinkering in his woodshop creating gifts for his family and special friends. To relax he enjoyed music by the Doors, Johnny Cash and heavy metal bands. Left to cherish Nathan's memory are his fiance Tina Garner of Pendleton; 4 children: Brody Cain Alber, Riley James Alber, Frances Rose Alber, all of Rochester and Zachary Garner of Pendleton; mother Kay Alber Eiler and husband Robert of Rochester; a sister, Traci Alber Benzing & companion Tommy Shepherd of Mentone; 2 brothers, including his twin Paul Alber and wife Holly of Rochester, and Mark Alber and wife Shelly of Warsaw; 6 nieces and nephews; his loving canine companion Chaos, the Brindle Pit Bull, and his feline companion Nike, a Red Point Siamese. Preceding Nathan in death are his father, Mark Alber on September 5, 2008 and his grandparents. Chaplain Jason See will officiate services. Burial will be on the family plot in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
