Nancy L. Chambers, 88, of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving daughters when she passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, September 10, 2026, at Wynnfield Crossing.

Nancy Lee Frazier was born on November 23, 1937, in South Bend to Joseph Sheldon Lee and Mary Leona (Lootens) Frazier. As the second oldest child, Nancy shared her childhood with four sisters and two brothers. She was a proud graduate of Clay High School in South Bend, Class of 1956.

On April 26, 1957, Nancy married Michael “Mike” Dennis Chambers in South Bend. Together, they built a loving family that grew to include two beautiful daughters, Caren and Cathlene. Throughout the years, Nancy and Mike cherished the joy of welcoming and celebrating several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nancy devoted her working career, from 1961 to 2002, to Hart-Schaffner-Marx Company, where she worked as a finish presser, meticulously detailing and pressing the seam work of men’s garments.

A woman of faith, Nancy was a member of The Cross in Rochester and was an active participant in Bible studies. Her faith and love for her family were important parts of her life.

Those left to cherish Nancy’s memory are her daughters, Caren Delp (Dave) of Rochester and Cathlene Darragh (Mark) of Noblesville; grandchildren: Paige Fish (Adam), Rachel Bartee (Dustin), Amanda Orban (Ryan), Beth A. Darragh, and Katie N. Horn (Hendrik); great-grandchildren: Harper Grace Orban, Micah Alexander Orban, Avery Cay Orban, and Lucas Dana Fish; and sister, Judy Marie Krueper (Louie) of South Bend.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mike, on September 2, 2014; and her siblings: Mary Ann O’Banion, Joyce Hartung, Dorothy Jean Davis, Joseph Frazier Jr., and infant brother David Frazier.
