Mr. Mykel Zachary Thomas, 23, passed away at 6:09 AM on Friday, September 25, 2020.

On November 9, 1996 in Rochester, Mykel was born to David and Shana Redman Thomas.  Growing up he shared his childhood with a two sisters Kaylee and Brianna and a brother Brent.  In 2015 Mykel graduated from Rochester Community High School.  He went on to study aviation mechanics at the Michigan Institute of Aviation Technology.  Most recently Mykel's goal was to join the Navy and be a K-9 handler.

A young man with diverse interests, Mykel was an avid gamer spending many hours beating the odds.  He enjoyed fishing and target shooting with his Dad.  At home he was accomplished with grilling out steaks.  He made some extraordinary hot wings.  Mykel was a proud owner of a unique wolf collection.  He was a devoted New England Patriot fan, watching them intently each weekend!!

Survivors include his parents, David and Shana Thomas of Rochester; siblings: Kaylee A.R. Redman and companion Brandon Beattie of Rochester, Brianna Locke and husband Robert of Florida, Brent Thomas of Wabash; three nieces:  Emily, Savannah, Kelanie; four nephews: Simon, Kamdyn, Aden, and Konner.

A celebration of life for Mykel Zachary Thomas will be from 3:00 -  4:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18 ^th St., Rochester. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
