Mr. Bill Micheal "Mike" Beliles 63, of 705 E 4th Street, Rochester, passed away at Woodlawn Hospital at 4:05 p.m. Friday. Mike was born on February 20, 1948 in Rensselaer to Carl and Nettie Wireman Beliles. As one of five children he shared his childhood with a sister Sharon and three brothers Don, Carl and James. On January 12, 1980 in Francesville, Mike took the hand of the love of his live, and married, Idella Louise Williams. Their union spanned 31 1/2 years and produced 5 children. The family tree continued to grow with the additions of 6 grandchildren. He was a retired union carpenter and millwright by trade and a member of the Union Local # 1816. Many will recall seeing Mike cruising the streets on his red 3-wheeled bicycle, with flags flying to mark his precise location. He enjoyed chatting with many, making friends along the way, as he cruised the streets and recycled, making our community a better place to be. Mike enjoyed the music of Elvis and the locally famous Beliles Family, many times enjoying their music in his workshop. He especially had a big soft spot in his heart for his grandchildren and extended grandchildren. He treasured their visits and loved playing a variety of games, making many great memories along the way. Mike is lovingly remembered by his wife Idella Louise Beliles at home, 2 daughters Brooke Waters and husband Kevin of Orlando, FL, Laura Oginsky and husband Christopher of Lapaz, 3 sons Kevin Beliles and wife Susan of Hassfurt, Germany, Bill Micheal Beliles Jr. of Williamsburg, N.C., Hermon Beliles and wife Belinda of Rochester. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren Heather Beliles, Nathan and Benjamin Waters, Kaylynn Curley, Kyndra and Karyssa Oginsky along with 5 extended grandchildren Coty Roe, Alexis and Josiah Damron, Thomas and Lucy Mills, a sister Sharon Regan of Monon, 3 brothers Don Beliles and wife Mary of Bourbon, Carl Beliles and wife Ruth of Morgantown, KY, James Beliles and wife Martha. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter Heather.
