Obituary

Micky Carlile, 78, of Rochester, passed away at 8:22 PM on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital of Mishawaka.

On July 9, 1942, Marie Catherine Sturgeon was born in Detroit, MI  to Edward  and Marie Norris Sturgeon.

At Rochester's  First Christian Church, Micky and Arthur Ershel Carlile were married on October 18, 1970. They have shared 50 years of life's adventures.  Together they raised five wonderful children Mary, Sherri, Terry, Larry and Gary. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of two more generations.

With a strong work ethic, Micky worked at Harts- Schaffner-Marx until it's closing.  She more recently worked at Braun and Friedman Seating on automotive upholstery.  Her entire lifetime she created custom wedding dresses, tuxes and bridesmaid's dresses. Micky also created goose clothing perfect for every season and holiday.

A loyal member of the Manitou Moose Family Lodge, Micky and Ershel enjoyed reserved seats with a view of beautiful Lake Manitou.  At home she loved feeding and watching the hummingbirds.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas. There was nothing better than getting together with family and making memories of a lifetime.
