Mickey Baker, 76, of Rochester was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away early Wednesday morning, April 29, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

On May 25, 1949, Mickey was born to William Eugene and Mary Ruth Kuhn Baker at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester. Sadly, his mother and baby sister, Judy, passed away in March 1953.

Mickey was raised by Harold and Louedva Kuhn and uncle, Larry Kuhn. Mickey attended Richland Center school until the consolidation with Rochester Community School in 1966 and graduated high school in May 1967. Following graduation, Mickey began working at Dean’s Foods in Rochester and later retired after 45 years of service.

On July 1, 1967, Mickey was joined in marriage to Connie Jo Lowery at the Burton United Methodist Church, Rochester. From this union spanning 58 years, three children were born and the family tree grew to include several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mickey devoted himself to helping raise his grandsons, Josh and Jonathin.

Throughout his life, Mickey enjoyed farming with his father, Eugene, and Uncle Bud raising their hogs and row crops of soybeans and wheat. When he wasn’t busy working or farming, Mickey also enjoyed camping, visiting Indiana Beach as well as many Indiana state parks. Mickey was also an avid hunter and shared the hunts with his children and grandchildren, often bringing home several trophy bucks to adorn his walls. Following open heart surgery, Mickey continued enjoying life and spending time riding his golf cart around the neighborhood with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his Great Dane, Kasey.

Left to cherish the memories of Mickey are his wife, Connie; son, Andy Baker (Cheryl) of Ottawa, IL; grandchildren: Isabella Keyes, Juliet Keyes, Josh Baker (Sidney), Jonathin Baker (Addy), and Benjamin Sery (Diamond); great-grandchildren: Hadley Grace Baker, Eloise Claire Baker, Foster Eugene Baker, Ryleigh Sery; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding in death are his parents; infant sister, Judy; daughter, Christina Keyes; and son, Rodger Baker.

Private family graveside services will be held to celebrate Mickey's life at Richland Center IOOF Cemetery.
