Rev. Michael N. "Mike" Wilkins, 71, of Rochester went home to be with our Lord at 3:05 PM on Thursday, September 23 , 2021 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. This followed a brave and valiant battle with COVID-19.

On October 26 , 1949, Michael Nacy Wilkins was born to Rev. Clifton E. SR. and Rev. Johanna Kronberg Wilkins. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters, Bonnie and Sandra and a brother Clifton. He went to Bald Eagle Area Junior-Senior High School in PA and later studied at Central Bible College.

Mike married the love of his life Karen L. Hayes on December 24 , 1988. They have shared 33 years of life's adventures.

At Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Mike was a heart transplant recipient on May 22 , 2014. He was blessed to extend life for an additional seven years.

Collaborating with Carl Adley, Mike helped ignite the Rochester High School soccer programs for high school men and women.  They were officially made IHSAA team sports allowing the athletes to compete on a higher level.

Mike was a soloist and evangelist serving under Mike Wilkins Ministries. During his ministry he sang and preached the gospel in 49 states including Alaska. Pastor Mike served at the Cornerstone Country Church of Fulton and the Mount Hope Church near Culver. He was a member of the Faith Outreach Center of Rochester. As a prayer warrior, Mike had over 4000 friends on Facebook. Everyone will miss "What's for supper?"

Left to cherish Mike's are his wife, Karen; six children: Donna Wilkins-Sebert and husband Jason of Auburn, Sherri Wilkins of Nashville, TN, Joan Alldaffer and husband Don of Columbia City, Josh Wilkins of Rochester, Michael Wilkins of Philadelphia PA, Adam Wilkins of Rochester; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sister, Sandy Armentrout and husband Kenny of TX; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Mike in death are his parents, sister Bonnie Good and brother Clifton J. Wilkins Jr.

Private family services will be held for Mike.
