Former Rochester resident, Michael Edward Pritchett, 58, currently of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly at 9:32 PM, Sunday, July 6th, at his home. On July 22, 1955, Michael Edward Pritchett was born in Hammond to Edward G. and Helen M. Mills Pritchett. Growing he shared his childhood with a sister Pat and a brother John. With great Zebra pride in May of 1973, Mike graduated from Rochester High School with his class. Following high school Mike graduated from Michiana College of Commerce in 1975, with an associates degree in business. He worked at Wickes Lumber in Argos from 1986 - 2005 until the closing of the store. For many years he served as assistant manager. More recently he worked at Russell House in Plymouth, retiring in 2009 due to his health. On August 5, 1979, Mike married Sharon Kathleen Rhoads. From their union came a treasured daughter, Ashley. Later they divorced and she preceded him in death. Mike was a devoted member of the Plymouth Wesleyan Church for many years. To relax he enjoyed taking Ashley to enjoy the sunshine and pristine waters of Lake Maxinkuckee at Culver Beach. As a young man Mike enjoyed family expeditions to the Outer Banks. Left to cherish Mike's memory are his daughter Ashley Pritchett of Plymouth; a sister, Patricia Mangan of Lewisville, NC and a brother, John K. Pritchett of Rochester. Nieces and nephews also survive. Preceding Mike in death are his parents and an infant brother Gregory Pritchett. Rev. Richard VanVuren will officiate services.
