Michael Scott Calhoun, 26, of Rochester, passed away at 4:22 p.m. on Wednesday. He was fatally injured on Indiana 25 north of Metea, in Cass County, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Michael was born in South Bend, on June 15, 1985. A lifetime resident of Rochester, he was currently employed by DC Sealcoating as a construction foreman. A member of the 1st Baptist Church, Michael was also an animal lover. He enjoyed the game of golf, especially at the Elk's Club course. Flower gardening was his forte'. Michael could be seen many times with his Grandpa Larry manicuring the flower beds and introducing seasonal flowers at the Streamliner. He was passionate about electronics and music. Michael dedicated a studio-sound room in his home complete with DJ station and lights. He also enjoyed gaming with his Playstation and X-Box 360. Michael is lovingly remembered by his mother, Lisa Calhoun and her companion Gary Klein; grandparents, Larry and Gloria Calhoun; aunts and uncles, Larry and Deb Carpenter, and Dustin and Brooke Calhoun; and cousins, Jaeda Carpenter, Caroline and Carson Calhoun. Friends may visit with Michael's family on Saturday from 10:00 - 1:00 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Private family services will be observed with Rev. Junior Bose and Rev. Jimmy Calhoun officiating. He will be laid to rest in the family plot at the Athens - Hoover Cemetery.
