Mary Jo Woods, 83, of Rochester was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at her home on

, 1935 Mary Joanna Chalk was born. She was a treasured daughter of Albert and Gladys Wagoner Chalk. As one of six children, growing up she shared her childhood with two sisters, Bessie and Wanda, and three brothers: Marvin, Leo and Robert.
At the First Christian Church on

, 1967, Mary Jo married Mr. Lloyd L. Woods. They shared over 41 years of life's adventures.
Mary Jo worked at Chamberlains in Akron and Robertson's Transformer in Rochester prior to her retirement. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing cards or bingo at the senior center.
Left to cherish Mary Jo's memory are her daughter Cynthia Hix and husband Johnny of Mack's Creek , Missouri. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd on

, 2009, parents Albert and Gladys Chalk, two sisters: Wanda Orput, Bessie Cartwright; and the Chalk brothers: Marvin, Leo and Robert.
Mary Jo's family will greet her friends on

, 2019 from 11:00 - 1:00 PM at the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th street, Rochester. Burial will follow when she is laid to eternal rest next to her beloved husband Lloyd in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
