Mary Elizabeth Nissen, 86, of  Rochester  passed away  at 3:55 PM on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Community Hospital North of Fishers.

On December 21, 1931, Mary was born in Marshall County to Elmer and Ilo Stone Cox.

Mary and Richard Arthur Nissen were married on January 29,1949 in Plymouth. Sadly, he passed away on March 21, 1973.

Mary is lovingly remembered by three daughters: Mary Ellen Lowe of Rochester,  Debbie Amor and husband Russ of Noblesville,  Brenda K. Miller and husband Rod of Fort Smith, AR;  six grandchildren: Scott Sayger and wife Glenda,  Dr. Brian Sayger and wife Stacey, Keri Weaver and husband Brad, Andrea Osborne and husband Greg, David Boyd and wife Angela, Gretchen Carrerra and husband Manuel; 18  great grandchildren: Mariah, Dakota, Jacob, Emily, Quinton, Calvin,Dylan, Elizabeth, Landon, Madison, Enrique, Gabriel, Alexander, Kyndall, Chase, Katlyn, Collin, Luke;  and one great great granddaughter, Eileen.

Preceding Mary in death are her parents, husband, a grandson and seven siblings.

A celebration of the life of Mary Nissen will be at 12 noon  on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester.    Friends may visit with the family from 10 – 12 in the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
