Obituary

Mr. Marty Easterday, 71, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 7 , 2022 at his home in Tippecanoe.

On May 18 , 1951 Martin Ross Easterday was born in Plymouth to Edward L. and Melba M. White Easterday. Growing up he shared his childhood with two brothers, Thomas and James.  Proudly he graduated with the Class of 1969 from Culver Community High School.  He was a lifetime resident of Marshall County.

With a strong work ethic, as a young man, Marty began working for Easterday Construction. He went on to start his own business, Temp-Rite. Marty became accomplished with installation and repair in HVAC and he was also an electrician throughout his life.

In his younger years, playing a round of golf with his buddies was a great way to spend an afternoon.  To relax, Marty enjoyed reading and watching westerns, especially Gunsmoke and Bonanza. His favorite author was Louis L'Amour.  Going to Vegas with the guys was always a good time.  Marty and Penny also went to the casinos, where they played the Willie Nelson slots.

Left to cherish Marty's memory are his mother, Melba M. Easterday of Culver; daughter Kaley Easterday-Zimmerer and husband John of Logansport; two grandchildren: Lauren and Madison; significant other, Penny Napier-Harrellson of Tippecanoe; two brothers: Thomas Easterday and wife Suzy of Yukon OK, James Easterday of Plymouth; his buddy in life's adventures, Jim Painano; canine companion, Abby the black and white special blend Pomeranian-Terrier; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Marty in death is his father.
