Mrs. Marilyn Diane Zartman, 80, of (Nyona Lake) Macy, IN, passed away at 2:22 AM, Monday, April 27th, at Community Howard Regional Hospital of Kokomo. On January 23, 1935, Marilyn was born in Kokomo to Edward V. and Maxine A. Milner Brown. Growing up she shared her childhood with a brother Ed near Fulton. With great Bulldog pride, Marilyn graduated with her class in 1952 from Fulton High School. Following high school she pursued her dream of becoming a nurse, graduating from Holy Cross Central School of Nursing, Notre Dame, IN, in 1955 being awarded with her Registered Nursing degree. Her career in nursing spanned over four decades when she retired from the Veteran's Medical Center in Marion on January 23, 1997. Marilyn and Robert "Bob" Irvin Zartman were married on May 27, 1995 in Kokomo. Together they enjoyed nearly 20 years of life's adventures. Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her husband Bob; her mother, Maxine Brown of Bunker Hill; a daughter:, Beth Campbell and husband Chris of Elwood; two sons: Bryan Barnett and wife Pamela of Greentown, and Brent Barnett and wife Tina of Jacksonville, FL; a step daughter, Samantha Laird and husband David, of Mason, OH; 3 grandsons; Braden, Jason, and Craig Barnett; 3 step granddaughters: Lindsey Scott, Lauren Easley, Abigail Kerr all of Mason, OH; a brother, Edward Brown and wife Barbara of Kokomo; and her treasured canine companion Molly, the Boston Terrier. Preceding Marilyn in death are her father, a son Brad Barnett in 1977, and two grandsons, Ryan and Joshua Campbell. Chaplain Jason See will officiate services. Interment will be in the Plainview Cemetery.
