On Tuesday, December 27, 2022, Margaret P. Stiles went to meet her Lord and Savior with her family by her side. Born in Trenton, NJ on September 13th, 1943, Marge graduated from Moorestown High School in New Jersey and Hollins College in Virginia with a degree in History. In January 1969, she married Kenneth Stiles, and together they adventured with Jesus for almost 54 years.

Surviving her are her husband Ken and her twin sons, John (Jenna) and Ken (Karin), and their children Keely, Sera, Ethan, and Heidi, Sophie, and Lucy, respectively. Her surviving brothers and sisters are Don Palmer (Diane), Anne Strother, David Palmer (Pam), and Richard Palmer (Peggy), plus nieces and a nephew.

The theme of her life was Faith, Family, Friends, and Community. Marge demonstrated her faith through praying for family, participating in Bible Study Fellowship, and serving in various church ministries over the years. Whether attending family reunions, weddings, caring for her parents, or hosting her own family, Marge was always at the center of the action.  Annual vacations to the North Carolina beach exemplified the importance she placed on spending time together and strengthening family bonds.

Over the years Marge served her community in many ways.  Living in Plymouth over the last 40 years she served on the LEAD committee, worked in LaVille as a school-to-work counselor, and developed a "reality" curriculum helping students develop resumés, learn about career opportunities, and understand the realities of graduating and beginning to work.

A highlight for Ken and Marge was their trip to Alaska on a National Geographic cruise where they were able to see the wonders of God's creation up close, from whales to grizzly bears.

A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 14 at The Cross Church at 100 West 3rd St, Rochester, IN 46975, with 10:00 AM Visitation and 11:00 AM Celebration. Memorial offerings may be sent to The Cross Church or to Matthew's Market Food Pantry at the same address.
