Lorine Aldine Keele, 91, formerly of Tiosa, passed away November 27, 2011 at 6:05 PM in Life Care Center of Rochester. Lorine was born in Wolcott on June 15, 1920 the daughter of John and Mary Shotts Schmidt. She shared her childhood with two sisters and a brother. On October 15, 1939, Lorine and Charles Albert Keele were married in St. Charles, MO. Their union spanned nearly 4 1/2 decades and produced two daughters and five sons. Over the years the family tree grew with the addition of 21 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, with a new addition expected to arrive in February of 2012. A loyal member of the Tiosa Brethren Church for more than 50 years, Lorine was also a member of the Women's Missionary Society of the church. She retired from Hart Schaffner & Marx after 27 years, as an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed word searches and reading of all types but especially novels of romance. As the matriarch of the family, Lorine was proud to oversee four generations. Her kitchen was a buzz during the holidays and special family celebrations. At the top of the menu, as requested by her family on Sunday's, was her special fried chicken. She is well remembered for her dessert fare of pumpkin and ice cream pies, cherry delight, and angel food cake topped with pinneapple fluff. She loved and cherished the many good times she enjoyed with her family, as being a mom and grandmother was the best part of life. Lorine is lovingly remembered by her 2 daughters: Linda Swick of Plymouth, and Sandy Alber & husband Tom of Woodburn, IN; 5 Sons: Ron Keele of Rochester, Jim Keele & wife Carol of Warsaw, John Keele & wife Catherine of Concord, NC, Richard Keele & wife Diann of New Haven, and Mike Keele & wife Linda of Freemont; 21 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren plus one due to arrive in February. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles on July 2, 1984, a daughter-in-law Bonnie Keele, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Interment will be in the Richland Center Cemetery.
