Mrs. Anita Lois Bennett Conrad, 78, of Rochester, passed away at 2:02 PM on Sunday, November 30, 2014 in the Evangelical Home of Sterling Heights, MI. On October 2, 1936, Lois was born in Knoblick, KY , the precious daughter of Homer and Blanche Yates Bennett. Growing up as one of eleven children, she shared her childhood six sisters and four brothers. Lois and Howard L. Conrad were married on June 23, 1965 in Edmonton, KY. Their union produced two beautiful daughters. Sadly Howard passed away on April 23, 1975, just short of their 10th anniversary. In addition to being a Mom and homemaker, Lois worked for Topps Manufacturing, was a receptionist at Textron Corporation and served Rochester Middle School as an instructional assistant for a number of years. She was a 43 year member of the Grace United Methodist Church and was a member of the Christian Service Guild. Lois is lovingly remembered by two daughters: Faith Seader and husband Gregory of McComb, MI, Hope Showley and husband Ryan of Rochester, IN; four grandchildren: Lauren and Taylor Showley, Abigail and Nathaniel Seader; four sisters: Florence Mattson and husband Lloyd, Betty Lowery and husband Kenny, Linda Priore, Sharon Steele and husband William; three brothers: Donnie Bennett and wife Wanda, Harold Bennett and wife Roxanne, Jimmy Bennett and wife Linda; sister-in-laws: Helen Bick and husband Clyde, Bonnie Fear and husband Ross. Preceding Lois in death are her parents, husband, 2 sisters: Valera Fudge and Eldene Bennett, and a brother O'Dell Bennett. Rev. Maurice Grindle will officiate services. She will be laid to eternal rest next to her beloved husband Howard in the Richland Center Cemetery.
