Obituary

Mr. Larry M. Urbin, 69, of Rochester, passed away at 5:13 PM, Saturday, September 24 , 2022 at Beacon-Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

On July 24 , 1953 Larry Max Urbin was born in Frankfort.  He was a treasured son of Gerald M. and Betty J. (Warfield) Urbin
As one of the 9 Urbin children, Larry shared his childhood with 8 siblings.  With great pride he graduated from Caston High School where he played football during his early years for the Comets.
In Rochester on March 2 , 1996, Larry married Brenda Sue Thomas. They shared 26 years of life's adventures. Together they raised James and Heather.  The family tree continued to grow with the blessings of two granddaughters.
With a strong work ethic, Larry was a dedicated member of Logansport's Green Power Inc. parts department, now known as TTG. Over the years he collected many unique pieces of John Deere memorabilia. Larry loved watching all sports on TV and the RFD channel.  He manicured his lawn with meticulous precision while enjoying being outdoors.  His greatest love was his family, treasuring the times making memories at the holidays and special family celebrations.
Left to cherish Larry's memory are his wife Brenda; children James (Michelle) Clark of Indianapolis and Heather (Robbie) Kitchel of Greenwood; 2 grandchildren:  Alayna Kitchel and Larissa Kitchel; his siblings: Ned (Eunice) Urbin of Kewanna, Madge (Phil) Smitley of Bunker Hill, Alma Halterman of Rochester,  Rex (Glenda) Urbin of Kewanna, Dale (Annette) Urbin of Logansport, and Nanette (Dennis) Stark of Winamac; his in-laws Lisa (Alan) Butt, Brad (Lori) Thomas, and Chad (Cheri) Thomas. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding Larry in death are his parents Gerald and Betty Urbin, sister Gail A. Urbin and a brother Brian Urbin.

A celebration of the life of Mr. Larry M. Urbin will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 29 , 2022 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18 th Street, Rochester.  His family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 28 , 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM and on Thursday an hour prior to his services.  Pastor Bill Sheets will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
