Mr. Laron Kyle Joseph Slaybaugh, 28, of 4940 East Wood Lane Rochester, passed away at 11:59 PM, Monday, November 14th, 2011 unexpectedly at Woodlawn Hospital Laron was born in Kosciusko County, on June 10, 1983, the son of Donald and Alice Watts Slaybaugh. Growing up he shared his childhood with his brother Christopher. With great Viking Pride, he graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School in 2002. Laron was dedicated to his employer Fulton Industries for over 3 years. Known for his patriotism to our country, Laron collected eagles and other symbols of America's strength. He loved our flag and proudly displayed it in his room. He also collected guns, knives and military memorabilia. For relaxation Laron enjoyed playing video games, he especially enjoyed role playing games. A fan of music, he listened to Ozzy, the Doors, Metallica and the Motley Crue. An American sportsman, Laron found hunting and fishing to be a way to embrace nature. An easy going type guy, Laron loved his family, cherishing the time he spent with his dad and having fun, making many memories with his loving brother Christopher. Laron is lovingly remembered by his father, Donald Slaybaugh, a brother, Christopher Slaybaugh, both of Rochester. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Laron was preceded in death by his mother on March 1, 2011, his grandparents Joe and Alice Slaybaugh, Golden Morris Watts and Jessie "Bud" Watts. Interment will be in Citizens Cemetery, Rochester, IN.
