Obituary

Former Macy resident, Kathryn  M.  Jones,  96  now of Rochester,  passed away on Sunday, November 6 , 2016 at Wellbrooke of Wabash.
Born on September 6 , 1920 in Logansport, Kathryn M. Mang was the cherished daughter of Lee and Pearl York Mang.  Growing up she shared her childhood with two sisters and three brothers.
In Peru, on March 14 , 1942, Kathryn married the love of her life, Mr. Francis "Shorty" Jones.  Together they emjoyed 46 years of life's adventures.  From their union came four wonderful children.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In Kathryn's early years while residing in Macy, she was a member of the Macy Methodist Church.  She was a member of the Allen Township Homemakers Club.  A devoted member of Easter Star, Kathryn was a 73 year member of the  O.E.S. # 124 from Macy.  Over the years she led the group in the esteemed position worthy matron five terms.
With a caring heart, always there to help others, Kathryn served Woodlawn Hospital as a member of the women's auxiliary for over twenty-six years.  She attended the Paw Paw United Methodist Church near Chili.
Adventuresome, Kathryn loved traveling, especially on bus trips.  Her expeditions took hear to nearly all fifty states.  She once cruised to Alaska.  Another trip took her to Hawaii.  She once visited Canada.  Dining out around the area with friends was also a great way to relax.

Left to cherish Kathryn's memory are two daughters:  Lana Kuhn and husband Larry  of Denver, Jane Sprague and companion Robert Myers of Mexico; two sons:  Mark A. Jones and wife Diane, Kent A. Jones all of Rochester;  11 grandchildren: Ann Clark and husband John, Kristine Bixler and husband Troy, Michael Kuhn and wife Carmen, Miles Kuhn and wife Lavonna, Mason Kuhn and wife Kary,  David Jones and wife Deana, Brandon Jones and wife Jennay, Casey Faine and husband Terry, Brian Sprague and wife Karen, Paul Sprague and companion Daniela Parra and Isaac Sprague; and 18 Great-grandchildren.  Preceding her in death are her parents, beloved husband  Francis on March 31 , 1988, two sisters:  Sue Gillium,  Jean Quinten Brower, and three brothers:  Bud Gillium, John Gillium, and Merrit Gillium.

Pastor Dan Tucker will officiate services.   Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery, Macy.
