Julia M. Timbers, 88, of Rochester passed away at 6:15 PM, Friday, January 18 , 2019 at Heritage Point of Warren.

On January 12 , 1931, Julia M. Owens was born in Magoffin County, Ohio to Kenneth and  Eva Allen Owens. She was one of 14 children.

In Rochester, on October 5 , 1948 Julia and Robert L. Timbers were married. They shared 62 years of life's adventures. From their union came three wonderful children Connie, Sandra and Mark.  The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of two more generations.

As entrepreneurs with a strong work ethic, Judy and Bob  owned and operated  the A&W Drive-In for 17 years and later the Hamburger Hut for 4 years. They were also the former managers of The Streamliner of Rochester.

Accomplished with her handiwork, Judy knitted and crocheted  gifts of warmth for her family and friends.  She was an avid bowler bowling in women's leagues at Quick's Lanes.   Paramount in Grandma Judy's life was her family.  She was proud to oversee four generations and enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and the great-grands.  The holidays and special family celebrations were times of making many lifetime memories that she treasured.

The memories of Julia will be cherished by a daughter, Connie Gunter and husband Russell of Star City; a son, Mark Timbers and wife Marsha of Huntington; a son-in-law, Kenneth Slisher of Robinson, IL; 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Julia in death are her parents, husband, a daughter, Sandra Slisher, and  seven sisters including Daisey Stone, Nora Lee Hicks, Margaret May, Polly Haines, Maxine Meade, Dorothy McCallister, and six Owens brothers, including James, Williams, and Steve.

Pastor Kenneth Slisher will officiate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
